Martin's was recommended to us by a friend. When my wife and I decided to replace our old roof, one of our concerns were the flower beds and landscaping surrounding our home. My wife’s passion is gardening and she was as much worried about the grounds as I was about having a new roof installed. We were assured by Martin's that the grounds surrounding our home would survive intact.

Happily, that was the case. From the minute the crew arrived, my wife’s fears were laid to rest. The men acted in a professional manner protecting the flower beds and plantings and even built plywood protectors for some of the larger pieces. The roof was replaced in a day and hardly a leaf was lost. The grounds were spotless and the men even used a large magnet on wheels to make sure no nails were left behind. We couldn’t be any happier with our choice, and by the way, the roof looks great. Thanks to Martin's for making this a pleasurable experience.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Martin's, for your help with what could have been a major disaster. The tenants of my rental property in Bridgehampton called in a panic during that recent rain storm to tell me that water was pouring through the ceiling into the master bedroom. I was out of town at the time and not having a formal relationship with any of the local roofers I could only suggest to them to start calling around.

They were told by the first several roofers they called that either they were not available to come out on a Saturday or that nothing could be done until the rain subsided. Luckily then, they called you. Thankfully, you were in the area and were good enough to climb onto the roof, in the rain, and find and fix the problem. Any time the topic of conversation leans towards roofing or roofers ,I will be sure to drop your name. Thanks again for all your help.

Replaced entire roof

Richard Martin was extremely responsive. He came over the same day I called. Originally I just wanted to patch any weak spots where shingles had blown off in recent storms, and he gave me an incredibly reasonable quote of something like $200, which blew me away, but I knew the roof was going on 30 years old and another tough winter was approaching, so I asked for a price (7500) and a timeline (1-2 days) to replace the roof, and he said he had availability to do the work the following week and would bring in a team that would complete the job in 1 day, so I decided to replace the roof instead. The foreman and crew came the following week as scheduled and they did the entire job in 1 day--removed the old roof, installed a felt underlay and weatherproofing and zinc strips on the edges to prevent moss, and installed the new roof with the shingle product/color of my choosing. After all the snow we had this past winter, I'm very glad I had a brand new roof!

Overall I was very happy with the service and the price. My house is one level and has high ceilings with a lot of pitch and more roof than most houses of similar size, and I had gotten estimates over the years that were higher than what I paid. In addition to the manufacturer's 30-yr warranty on materials, Martin's offers an additional 10-yr warranty on workmanship. So far, so good!

Dealing with Martin's was a great experience. Being a local business owner myself, I was impressed from start to finish. Everything that was promised was delivered, and I now have a home with a new roof and new cedar siding, and it looks terrific. Martin's has my recommendation.
